Georgia Performance Standards!
The Georgia Performance Standards for Social Studies were designed to develop informed Georgia citizens who understand the history of the United States and our place in an ever increasing interconnected world. It is essential that students understand their past and how that past influences the present day and the future.

Georgia Online Assessment System (OAS)
Also, we have the Georgia Online Assessment System (OAS) which students can access online anytime. Here is the link for information on that:
To take a practice test, go to https://www.georgiaoas.org
Then, use login ID: Grade6 and password: Grade6 (you may have to disable your pop-up blocker) Once you are logged-in, click "view student tests" and you can practice a variety of tests. You can also log-on with your student's specific information if you still have this from the beginning of the year. Then your student can take tests specifically assigned by their classroom teachers.

The program is divided into sections based on subject (math, reading, etc). Each section is made up of 10-30 topics, with each topic containing about 20-30 questions. Topics are accompanied by a lesson, which contains a brief overview of the material covered in that topic.
